Anxious about nothing - Phil 4:6

Philippians 4:4-7 - Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Tough Day

The owner backed out on the rent deal. I dont' get it. Frustrated. The realtor says to wait and try again in a bit - maybe he will be in a better mood.

I feel sick.

I hate waiting.

God, I need your strength, because today I dont' have any.

Choose to trust that He has my best in mind.

Sell, house - then we can just buy this one outright.

I hate waiting.

Then I found out the lady that was supposed to clean the house we are selling didnt' show. Another project.

I hate waiting.

Isaiah 40:27-31

Why do you say, O Jacob,

and complain, O Israel,

“My way is hidden from the Lord;

my cause is disregarded by my God”?

Do you not know?

Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary,

and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary

and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary,

and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Whirlwind

The last few days are a blur - finished sorting stuff and then a mad stash and dash to makethe hosue look tidy. I could here flylady telling me not to put anythign under the bed but I ignored her just this time.

The house is officially listed. Please ,someone buy this one quickly and for full price! It seems like other listings make ours look like a bargain - hopefully someone else will think that too. But they dont' knwo the blood sweat tears and internal organs that went into that house. It is priceless to us - but it is just a house.

We drove to Powers and looked at oru new house-to-be. Kathrynn tossed her cookies twice - so between being tired from our work and the long drive, the smell of puke was difficult to manage. I love her and so I just did what I had to do.

Anyway, the hosue is a very interestign craftsman house with lots of itnerestign features. It is quite liveable and will be fun to work with. Now to figure otu what to offer . . .

Pray for us - this is not easy.

Missing my boys

My boys have been and pappou and yiayia;s for nearly 2 weeks while we packed. I miss them! I love my kids.

We hit box #100 today. Kathrynn loves the job of numbering and labeling - good!

The pie I made today was awful - all runny.

I'm tired. I see 10,000 things to finish before tomorrow night. Which are the most important?

How do I make my hosue look like somethign someone wants to buy?

All the undies are picked up so that is a start . ..

Packing and tossing

Flylady must be doing something for me. Our "toss" pile is currently bigger than our "keep" pile. Here's hoping Goodwill picks up!

We are nearly done with the basement. I'm using www.themoveorganizer.com to track my packed bozes. They have a few bugs in their system and at the moment I can't access the first few boxes I entered. Need to send them another e-mail.

Louis and Olivia visited for a couple days. I enjoy friend that you can just pickup where you left off - and in Olivia's case - get to know and just be comfortable. Praise God for good friends! My abs hurt I laughed so much.

I'm tackling Aaron's school desk at the moment. Kathrynn was helpignme put some of this old school work in the garbage bag when she found one that didnt' ahve his name and the date on it. She stopped and wrote his name and asked me the date he did the assignment - ummmmm - I made a guess. She wrote it on the paper and then put it in the garbage bag. I don't get it.

Praise

I just talked to the realtor in Powers - she talked to the seller of the house we are looking at to see if we could rent and then buy when our house sells. He is very happy abut that and suggested rent at $600. I don't think I've paid $600 rent since we were newlyweds. $600 for a 2800 sq ft house. Praise God!

Here's a link to the listing: Powers House

Our hosue is now officially listed at $435,000. Lord, send the people you want in this house - and quickly please!

The Moving Chonicles

Here's to moving - it sucks.

But I know God is bigger than my worries.

Info on Powers - the new home of the Pedricks:

Powers

We put our house on the market yesterday. It is priced lower than what we thought it could be worth. We hoped to knock out that student loans but if it sells at the listing price it won't cover it and us still have a down payment on a new house.

Another chance to trust I guess.

But God has been gracious in showing us that we are on the right path.

The house we are looking to rent/but in Powers is owned by that dad of a lady whose son goes to preschool with David. Got that? This lady grew up in Powers and was the steady girlfriend of the current superintendent of Powers.

The guy at second or third place I called to get a quote for moving said, "Powers? I know about Powers. I have a good friend in Powers. He's the principal of the high school. We e-mail each other every day." What are the odds? I mean Powers only has a isolated 730 people. God is good. The mover came out to check out our place and give us a quote. Easy to talk to. We joked about how Powers schools could actually be making money on us. With 3 (and 4 in a couple years) kids i nthe district, Kayne's salary it nearly paid with the state funding the district will receive from the influx of students. Kayne is a bargain! :)

Now here's praying that is sells fast. Maybe people will get in a offer/bidding war and drive the price up. I can dream, right?

My tasks for the day - get Kayne done at NKN. He wore his Powers, Oregon hat for his last inservice day. And pack one 1/4 of the basement - lots of unused toys to get rid of. And call the local thrift store to see if they pick up.
